Cat Oil AG is an Austria-based holding company, which is active in the oil industry. The Company divides its business activities into the segments Well Service and Formation Evaluation. It specializes in services, which the Company offers to oil and gas majors as well as smaller oil producing companies, to increase the productivity of new as well as existing oil and gas formations. This is achieved through hydraulic fracturing, a method by which groups of rocks are fractured with high pressure or chemicals, in order to increase oil flow. In addition to hydraulic fracturing, Cat Oil AG offers sidetrack drilling, coiled tubing, remedial cementing operations and geological services. Its main geographical focus is on Russia and Kazakhstan, with customers including the companies Lukoil, Rosneft, TNK-BP, Gazprom and Kazmunaygaz, among others. In 2013, the Company reorganized its business into two segments: Well Services and Drilling, Sidetracking and IPM (Integrated Project Management.
