BOC Hong Kong (Holdings) Limited (the Bank) is an investment holding company. The Bank, along with its subsidiaries, is engaged in the provision of banking and related financial services in Hong Kong. The Bank operates in five segments: Personal Banking, Corporate Banking, Treasury, Insurance and Others. Both the Personal Banking and Corporate Banking segments provide general banking services, including various deposit products, overdrafts, loans, credit cards, trade related products and other credit facilities, investment and insurance products, and foreign currency and derivative products. The Treasury segment manages the funding and liquidity, and the interest rate and foreign exchange positions of the Bank in addition to trades. The Insurance segment represents business relating to life insurance products. The Others segment represents the Bank"s holdings of premises, investment properties, equity investments and interests in associates and a joint venture.
