Transaq express help

How to add quotes to the table…

To view the quotes, open the Instruments table, selecting Tables - Instruments in the Main menu

Hover over the empty field of the open table Instruments, right-click to open the context menu and left-click on Select instruments

In the open window you can the select market you are interested in and add instruments to the table, both separate instruments and the selected segment.

How to view instrument detail

The platform contains all necessary information about the instruments, from a brief description of the issuer to brokerage commissions and trading schedule.

To open details hover over the bar of the Instrument you are interested in, right-click and select Instruments details from the context menu

Basic information about the selected instrument will be displayed in the open window. When you click the Reference button (see picture below) a page with additional instrument details, including brokerage rates, trading schedule, description of the issuer, etc., will be opened.

How to place a trading order

A trading order can be placed in several ways

Double-click the left mouse button on the bar of the instrument with the same name to open the so-called order book

Overview of the elements
Own orders– in the case Level II quotes your limit order will be displayed in the order book
Sum– in case of Level II quotes of the US market when ticking the box the same quotes from different exchanges or ECN will be displayed as a sum in one bar.
Market– your order will be executed at market price when ticking the box
1 Click– your order will be executed without additional confirmation when ticking the box
Prc– box to enter buy/sell price
Qty– box to enter quantity of buy/sell in items

Order mode is also available from the context menu by clicking the right mouse button when hovering on any bar in the Instruments table

This form allows you to set market and limit orders as well as provisional orders.

Order mode can also be opened from the Portfolio, Deals and Orders tables.

How to add new user Screen

The platform allows you to create several working screens for easy arrangement of various tables and modes.

To create a new Screen or monitor the available Main Menu screen select View - Setup screens.

In the window that opened you can add, delete and modify available working screens using the Add, Properties, and Delete buttons.

How to open a Chart

In order to display a new Chart t select New chart from the context menu by right-clicking on the bar of the corresponding instrument in the Instruments table.

To monitor a chart open the context menu by right-clicking the Charts box after hovering it.

    This menu allow you:
  • To change chart period
  • To make settings
  • To change the scale. You can also increase or decrease the scale of the chart by pressing the + or – buttons of the user keyboard.
  • User interface settings

Portfolio description

You can open a Portfolio by pressing F7 or F9.

    Overall assessment of the portfolio:
  • Equity– estimate of user’s personal funds
  • Utilization– reflects utilization of user equity as margin required to open position. This example shows that the required margin is USD 2,400.50 (Req. margin column) or 103.7% with respect to user equity totaling USD 2,315.36
  • Forecast– the same as Utilization but taking into account orders placed but not executed for deals
  • Coverage– the opposite to Utilization and reflects the equity/required margin ratio. When this value is less than 100%, as in the example, the user should pay attention to his/her open positions as the position will be closed on a mandatory basis at the level of 50% and below (margin call).
    Portfolio columns:
  • Instrument– name of a financial instrument
  • Price currency– currency of financial instrument quote
  • Incoming position– position available on an account at the beginning of a trading day, i.e., a position opened prior to the current trading day.
  • Bought– amount of financial instruments purchased
  • Sold–amount of sold financial instruments sold
  • Position– current open position in a user’s portfolio
  • Pos. value– of an open position in the currency of the instrument (current price x Position)
  • Req. margin– amount of a margin under an open position. The example in the picture shows that Pos. value is USD 120,025 and Req. margin in this case is USD 2,400.50 or 2%
  • Intraday P&L– profit or loss on open positions for the current trading day
  • Buys ordered– buy orders placed but not executed
  • Sells ordered- sell orders placed but not executed
  • Reg. margin forecast– Req. margin taking into account orders placed but not executed
  • Max. buy– prompts the maximum possible number of items available for purchase for the current instrument
  • Max sell– prompts the maximum possible number of items available for sale for the current instrument
  • Overall P&L- the same as Intraday P&L
  • Dealer’s tax– indicative display of commission charged for deals made

How to open the Deals and Orders table

To open the Deals and Orders table press simultaneously Ctrl+5
To open Orders table press simultaneously Ctrl+4
