Fortress Investment Group LLC (Fortress) is a diversified investment management firm. The Company is engaged in sponsoring the formation of, and providing investment management services for, various investment funds and companies, including related managed accounts (Fortress Funds). Fortress generally makes investments in these funds. Fortress has three primary sources of income from the Fortress Funds: management fees, incentive income, and investment income on its investments in the funds. The Company operates in four segments: Private equity, Liquid hedge funds, Credit funds and Logan Circle. Private equity consists of General buyout and sector-specific funds, publicly traded companies and private fund. Liquid hedge funds invest in fixed income, currency, equity and commodity markets. Credit funds consist of credit hedge funds and credit private equity. Logan Circle represents Fortress`s asset management business providing institutional clients managed investment solutions.
