Home Depot acquires specialty trade distributor SRS for $18.25 billion

Home Depot Inc. said early Thursday that it had agreed to buy SRS Distribution Inc. a residential specialty trade distribution company, for about $18.25 billion, including debt.

SRS has a 760-branch network across 47 states, and a 4,000-plus truck fleet, which serves professional customers such as landscapers, roofers and pool contractors. The deal is expected to boost Home Depot’s HD total addressable market by $50 billion, elevating it to about $1 trillion.
