Liena Zagare of the Manhattan Institute, a right-leaning thinktank backed by conservative foundations and corporations, crunched the numbers using New York City tax data from 2023. While the data does not specifically detail children per filer, it does show tax exemptions claimed, which is a pretty good approximation.
