AMS Osram meets Q4 revenue forecast on strong automotive demand

Feb 9 (Reuters) - Austrian sensor maker AMS Osram AMS.S on Friday reported fourth-quarter sales in line with market expectations and slightly above the midpoint of its guidance, helped by strong demand for products for automotive applications, especially from China.

Quarterly group revenue came in at 908 million euros ($978 million), in line with analysts' mean estimate of 908.4 million euros in an LSEG poll. The company had guided for sales of 850-950 million euros.

AMS Osram forecast lower first-quarter revenue of 800-900 million euros, and an operating profit margin of between 4% and 7%.
