In early trading on Wednesday, shares of eBay topped the list of the day's best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 8.0%. Year to date, eBay registers a 9.9% gain.
And the worst performing S&P 500 component thus far on the day is UnitedHealth Group, trading down 4.0%. UnitedHealth Group is lower by about 6.4% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Extra Space Storage, trading down 3.6%, and First Solar, trading up 5.0% on the day.
