(RTTNews) - Manulife Financial (MFC) reported earnings for its second quarter that Increases, from last year

The company's bottom line totaled C$2.110 billion, or C$1.20 per share. This compares with C$1.789 billion, or C$0.98 per share, last year.

Excluding items, Manulife Financial reported adjusted earnings of C$1.923 billion or C$1.09 per share for the period.

The company's revenue for the period rose 28.3% to C$20.055 billion from C$15.637 billion last year.
