The company was founded in February 1982 by people from Xerox and was engaged in the development of the PostScript language - a software solution for displaying and printing pages. As a result, the language became an industry standard in 1987. Soon after its founding, other programs were released that brought the developer popularity among consumers: in the mid-1980s - Illustrator, in 1989 - Photoshop, in 1991 - Premiere, in 1993 - Acrobat Reader.
