The Company is a retail electronic payment network based on payments volume, number of transactions and number of cards in circulation. Its products/services include core products, processing infrastructure, transaction processing services, digital products, merchant products, and risk products and payment security initiatives.

VISA, Inc. is a transnational US financial company, developer of the payment system of the same name - the second largest non-cash payment processing system in the world (after China Union Pay). It is used in 200 countries, and the number of cards issued exceeds 3.5 billion. The corporation was founded in 1958. At the moment, it legally consists of two companies: the main one, which owns the rights to the technology trademark, is located in the USA, and the one operating under license and engaged in cooperation with European banks is located in London.

A major restructuring of the company with the goal of an IPO was completed in October 2007. The initial public offering of VISA shares on the New York Stock Exchange was made on March 18, 2008 under the ticker symbol V. It was initially announced that the company would offer securities worth $10 bn for sale, but in the final stages of preparation it was announced that this amount would be halved . As a result, 406 mn shares were sold at $44 per share, which was $2 more than the expected upper limit. Proceeds from the IPO amounted to $17.9 bn. This amount became a record among all initial public offerings on the US stock market.
